Our friends at THEMAA are hosting BABA #2 - Professional Day, taking place on Friday, May 16, at the Théâtre Le Mouffetard in Paris, as part of the 2025 International Puppetry Arts Biennale (BIAM).
This day will focus on the critical question: How can we collaborate with the management of cultural venues in the current ecosystem of live performance? We will explore the challenges of building effective relationships between artistic teams and cultural establishments, specifically looking at puppetry's place in programming and the nature of collaboration.
Event Highlights:
Date: Friday, May 16, 2025
Location: Théâtre Le Mouffetard, Paris
Time: 9:45 AM - 5:00 PM
Theme: Collaborating between artistic teams and cultural venue management
THEMAA has developed BABA, a vital interprofessional cooperation initiative designed to meet the growing needs of young professionals in administration, production, and distribution. This three-day cycle offers professionals supporting live performance creation the opportunity to connect, learn, and overcome the challenges of isolation.
In 2025, the focus will be on labour relations at various levels – within companies, between teams, and in collaboration with cultural establishments. On the second day, we will delve into the modality of relationships between artistic teams and cultural venue management, tackling how they can collaborate effectively in today’s environment.
