We’re delighted to share an upcoming event that we think many of our friends and fellow puppetry enthusiasts will truly appreciate. Hosted by our friends at UNIMA India, this is a wonderful opportunity to hear from one of Europe’s most original voices in contemporary puppetry.
Join the Anubhav #10 session with renowned French puppeteer and pedagogue Clément Peretjatko, taking place online on Sunday, 13th July 2025 at 3:00 PM IST. About the Speaker
Clément Peretjatko is a puppeteer of Polish and Ukrainian heritage, based in Lyon. He has worked internationally as a director, performer, sculptor, teacher, artistic advisor, and coordinator of cultural projects. Trained in puppetry at ESNAM, with further studies in theatre, cinema and international cultural project management, Clément’s practice sits at the intersection of arts, education, and cultural exchange.
His work blends comedy, documentary theatre and visual performance. He has a strong commitment to staging lesser-known texts that explore cultural diversity, human rights and gender equality. Since the Maidan movement, he has led cultural collaborations across Ukraine, and in 2024 began teaching in several Ukrainian universities and art schools.
Clément has created and toured work throughout Europe, the Balkans, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region, with notable productions such as Maidan Inferno, The Apple Valley, and Mahtruesit. He is also Treasurer of UNIMA, international advisor to THEMAA (France), and head of culture at Lyon-Ukraine.
His accolades include:
– Michael Meschke Prize (2024, Sweden)
– I-Portunus Mobility Grant (2019, EU)
– Tibor Sekelj Award (2010, Croatia)
– Artistic grants from the European Cultural Foundation and the French Ministry of Youth
