A new international platform for puppet theatre in Georgia.
UNIMA Georgia is pleased to announce the first Georgian Puppet Theatre Showcase, taking place from 5 to 7 June 2026 in Tbilisi.


Georgia is home to a vibrant and diverse puppet theatre landscape, including 7 state puppet theatres, approximately 5 private companies, numerous puppet initiatives within drama theatres, and a growing number of independent artists and experimental projects. The country offers a rich mix of work for children and adult audiences, spanning traditional puppetry, marionettes, hand shadows, object theatre, and experimental forms.
This inaugural showcase aims to bring together international festival directors, programmers, producers, and cultural partners interested in collaboration, co-productions, exchange, and long-term networking within the field of contemporary puppetry.
