British UNIMA is pleased to share an open call for contributions to Puppetry and Multimedia 2, an international conference hosted by the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava – Theatre Academy, Department of Puppetry.
Taking place in a small cinema in the centre of Bratislava, this gathering brings together artists, researchers, and practitioners exploring the evolving relationship between puppetry and multimedia performance.
The conference is organised in collaboration with:
KEGA – Cultural and Educational Agency of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth
UNIMA International – Commission for Professional Training and Research
Research Focus
Contributions are invited on topics including:
Intermedia puppetry practice in theatre
The role and practice of actors in intermedia and multimedia performances
Directing practices in intermedia and multimedia contexts
How technique influences contemporary puppetry
Live puppet cinema at the intersection of theatre and film aesthetics
