Through occupation, bombardment, starvation and displacement, puppetry artists continue their work.
This autumn, Figur i Fossekleiva (Norway) presents the exhibition Palestinian Puppetry Artists. Now., highlighting the extraordinary work of puppeteers from Gaza and the West Bank who continue to create despite unimaginable conditions.

Mahdi Karera (Kayyout Theatre, Gaza)
Nadil Khateeb (Al-Tantoura Theatre, West Bank)
Diana Al-Swaitti (Fridge Theatre, Hebron)
These artists use puppetry to support children and communities through storytelling, performance, and education—turning art into a tool of resilience.
Norwegian Artists Contribute
Norwegian artists Runi Langum, Peter Knudsen, Lena Heggelund, and Kamsvaag/Bergsten will each present original poster artworks dedicated to one of the featured Palestinian artists.
