Nuts & Bolts Lounge — World Puppetry Day Special
Saturday 21 March 2026 · 4:00–5:30pm · Free online — practical touring + producing guidance, peer support, and a chance to shape future Nuts & Bolts sessions (plus the “What do you want to know?” survey)
British UNIMA is delighted to be supporting the Nuts & Bolts Artist Network and sharing this World Puppetry Day 2026 special edition of the Nuts & Bolts Lounge.
If you’re making your own work, trying to get a show booked, or thinking about becoming self-employed, Nuts & Bolts offers a friendly, practical space to ask questions and learn from others who’ve been there.
What is Nuts & Bolts?
Nuts & Bolts is a volunteer-led artist network offering guidance and support to freelance artists and small companies interested in producing and touring their own work.
It’s particularly suited to theatre and outdoor arts emerging creatives, producers, and makers looking to broaden their practice and business across wider sectors.
What is the Nuts & Bolts Lounge?
The Nuts & Bolts Lounge is a monthly, free, online, informal guidance session where you can:
Ask practical questions and get peer support
Pick up insider tips on touring and programming
Expand your network and meet like-minded people
Learn the “nuts and bolts” of getting work out there (yes — including the glamour of a good spreadsheet)
Note: The Lounge isn’t focused on the “artistic stuff” — it’s about the practical foundations that help creative work thrive.
