Le Mouffetard – CNMa: New Season, New Chapter
Our friends at Le Mouffetard – CNMa unveil their 2025/2026 program — Isabelle Bertola’s final, visionary season before passing the torch.
Our friends at Le Mouffetard – CNMa have just announced their 2025/2026 season—and it's not just any season. It marks the culmination of over three decades of artistic leadership under Isabelle Bertola and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for this treasured puppetry institution.
The upcoming season is a celebration of transmission, transformation, and tenacious imagination. As of January 1, 2026, a new management team will take the reins. But before that, Isabelle Bertola and her passionate team have curated a vibrant, daring final season that honors the past while leaning firmly into the future.
From powerful explorations of solitude and silence in Soledad, to the poetic activism of Pro Bono Publico, to the raw adolescent inner world of Dans mon foutu zoo, this season embraces bold voices, new magic, and shared memories.
A message from Isabelle Bertola
Outgoing Director of Le Mouffetard – CNMa:
“The 2025/2026 season will be even more unique than previous seasons! A new management team will take over the reins of this theatre on January 1, 2026. Since 1992, the year it was founded, I have worked for the Théâtre de la Marionnette in Paris. Nomadic for more than 20 years, the association was established on rue Mouffetard in 2013 and became a theater labeled National Center for Puppetry in 2022...
For my last season as director, I would have liked to have been able to invite all the puppeteers we have presented over the years! So we had to make some choices that we hope will be bold...
Changes are taking place, but the enthusiasm remains strong for our passionate, strong, and committed team. I hope to see many of you there!”
