Supporting BRUNIMA members to access specialist puppetry training
British UNIMA is delighted to announce a new partnership with PuppetSoup to support one fully funded scholarship place on The Canalside Lambe Lambe Theatre Course 2026, delivered in collaboration with the Puppet Theatre Barge in London.
This initiative aims to widen access to specialist puppetry training, support emerging talent, and strengthen the growing Lambe Lambe movement in the UK.
🌟 About the Scholarship
British UNIMA will fund one full place on this landmark in-person course.
The scholarship is open exclusively to current BRUNIMA members who meet the eligibility requirements.
The selected recipient will receive:
A fully funded place on the course
Full attendance at all April–June 2026 course sessions
Hands-on training in Teatro Lambe Lambe design, construction, and performance
Mentorship from award-winning puppeteer Fagner Gastaldon
A public performance opportunity aboard the iconic Puppet Theatre Barge
A rare professional platform within a unique UK puppetry context
This course is the first in-person Lambe Lambe Theatre training of its kind in the UK.
✅ Eligibility Requirements
To apply for the British UNIMA scholarship, applicants must:
Be a current British UNIMA (BRUNIMA) member
Be 18 years or older
Be based in the United Kingdom
Be available for all course dates (April–June 2026)
Submit a completed application by the deadline

Learn to design, build, and perform your own Teatro Lambe Lambe piece through a unique blend of creative workshops, small-group studio sessions, and public performance.
